The Bartender’s Club of Iceland (BCI) will be holding its Annual General Meeting (AGM) 2023 in the basement of Sæta Svínið on Tuesday, November 21st at 18:00!
The BCI board encourages all members to attend and exercise their voting rights. Members can also propose changes to the bylaws. The club’s bylaws can be found here.
Light refreshments will be offered during the meeting.
The agenda for the Annual Meeting is as follows:
- Election of meeting chairperson and secretary
- Board report
- Club finances
- Bylaw amendments
- Determination of membership fees
- Board elections
- Election of auditors
- International cooperation
- Future prospects and planning
- Other matters
There will also be a presentation on the activities of the BCI.
Following the Annual Meeting, the annual competition for the fastest bartender of the year will take place in collaboration with Mekka Wines & Spirits. Competitors must prepare 3 types of drinks in the shortest time possible. All equipment and ingredients will be provided on-site, so participants do not need to bring anything with them. The judges will be Richard Cookson, the fastest bartender of 2022, and Elna María Tómasdóttir, the vice president of BCI.

Please note that there is limited space for competitors, so we encourage interested parties to register as soon as possible. First come, first served.
After the competition, the Karaoke machine will be set up, and singing and dancing will continue into the night.
All bartenders and industry folks are welcome to join the club, as well as participate in the evening’s events.
Schedule for the evening:
- 18:00 – Doors open, light refreshments, and mingling
- 19:00 – Annual Meeting commences
- 20:30 – Fastest bartender competitition
- 22:30 – Karaoke party
